4 Minute Read:

Researching your plastic surgery procedure can be exciting — and frustrating. Once you know what you’d like done, you start to look forward to your new body … until you start thinking about the price. The cost of plastic surgery is higher in the U.S. to ensure proper safety measures and the skill of your surgeon. But there is much more that goes into the cost of your procedure, which can be a bit obscure.

This blog will discuss a popular body contouring cosmetic procedure: the Brazilian Butt Lift. Providing curves where you want them and slimming areas where you don’t, the BBL can give you stunning results.

But what goes into the procedure and its costs? We’ll break it down for you below.

Plastic Surgery Price Breakdown

The price of your cosmetic surgery can be broken down into many of the same fees, no matter the procedure.

The total price typically includes these factors:

Geographical location also affects the overall cost of the procedure, as some prices are based on the area’s average. The procedure itself is another factor, as some require a higher level of surgical skill or are more time-consuming. This varies greatly and is best discussed with your surgeon once they have developed a surgical plan for your specific needs.

The Brazilian Butt Lift Procedure

Because each plastic surgical procedure will vary in price, including even the general cost of a BBL, it’s useful to understand what goes into this procedure.

The Brazilian Butt Lift is a two-step body contouring procedure. During your surgery, your board-certified plastic surgeon will remove unwanted fat from the body — usually the stomach, thighs, or waist — with liposuction.

Once the fat is removed via liposuction, it is purified in a sterile centrifuge system. Then, the fat is injected back into the buttock area, where your surgeon will make a perfectly sculpted and smooth area. The last step can be repeated multiple times to ensure the ideal result.

The BBL procedure typically takes around two to three hours, depending on the extent of the surgery. The more fat that needs to be removed, the longer it will take.

BBL Recovery and Results

Most BBL patients can return home soon after treatment and do not need to be monitored overnight.

For the first two weeks after surgery, you will need to be extremely careful not to put undue pressure on the area. Tips include sleeping on your side or stomach and avoiding excess trauma to the area. For BBL recovery week by week, check out our other blog post.

Once your backside has completely healed, you can enjoy fuller, more voluptuous buttocks.

Expect to turn some heads!
